fuckyeahtattoos: This was my first tattoo. I’ve gotten two others since but this one means the world to me. I got a blackbird because my mom’s and my favorite band is the Beatles. I remember when I saw Paul McCartney when I was 10, he explained that women were referred to as “birds”, so the song was about women in the civil rights movement. Simply beautiful. Done by Joe at Moo Tattoo in Philadelphia.
